Join our 2024 apprenticeship intake
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Maintenance Fitting/Machining) in the Compressed Air Industry
Due to the company’s growth, we seek apprenticeship candidates to join our team based in Paget.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome you to start your career with us and obtain a Nationally Accredited Certificate.
The ideal candidates we are seeking will:
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safe work practices, high motivation levels, a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic
- Demonstrate a high level of interest in the chosen Traineeship or Apprenticeship
- Motivation to learn and develop a range of new skills
- Language, literacy and numeracy levels required to complete the qualification successfully
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence (Provisional accepted)
- Reside in the Mackay or Regional area
- If a school leaver, you will be required to work the school holidays and work some afternoons until Jan 2024

Tradespeople wanted to join the Mackay team
We also have positions available for qualified mechanical /diesel fitters – Immediate start – No coal mining experience required.
More Air Group offer air compressor, piping installations and pneumatic solutions. With compressor repairs, servicing and overhauls for both domestic and commercial customers in the Mackay, Townsville and surrounding districts.

Experience in the compressor and pneumatic field is advantageous but not essential. We encourage candidates outside of Mackay who want to work in the industry also to apply.
